In 2021, VF won the tender and got an order from the National Centre for Nuclear Research in Swierk for the supply of an area radiation monitoring system. The National Centre for Nuclear Research is the largest research institute in Poland and the only Polish research institution operating a nuclear reactor (the MARIA reactor).
The complete scope of supply of the RMS included the following:

  • RMS software (server + workstation)
  • PC server
  • Radiation Display Units
  • Area gamma monitors
  • Area neutron monitors
  • Alarm Units

The complete system continuously measures gamma dose equivalent and neutron dose equivalent rates in various locations.
The supplied detectors allow measurement of the gamma dose equivalent rate up to 10 Sv/h and neutron dose equivalent rate up to 100 mSv/h.
All detectors are connected to local display units and to a centralized radiation monitoring system RMS.
All data are stored on a data server and available to operators and administrators at various PC workstations.

Services provided included system customization, software configuration, equipment manufacturing, factory testing, delivery on site, hardware and software installation, commissioning, and the training of personnel.
