In June 2022, VF got an order from Raying Technology Company, Taipei for the supply of two complete free release measurement systems with various accessories to NPP1 nuclear power plant in Taiwan.
The complete scope of supply includes the following:

  • Two FRM-02 Free Release Monitors
  • A calibration kit with Cs-137 and Co-60 NIST traceable sources
  • Waste containers 
  • A transportation system with a weight scale
  • A set of spare parts

The FRM-02 Free Release Monitors are intended for measuring and analysing integral activity of gamma-emitting radionuclides in crates, pallets, drums, and other similar waste packages.
Based on the measurement results, it is possible to decide whether the material is to be free released into the environment, decontaminated, or classified and disposed of as radioactive waste.
Other services provided includes the free release system customized design, equipment manufacturing, factory testing, delivery on site, installation, commissioning and the training of personnel.
